I'm also not a big fan of the excessive wandering (although I'm glad wandering is allowed, unlike many of Telltale's latest offerings). I can agree about the animations- the stiffness and poor lip syncing particularly stand out due to the higher levels of detail in the character models and environments compared with the previous games. To me, the music we have now is more subdued, emotional but more enigmatic, it just clicks better. and they have a french saying that goes on ne pas discute des goûts. It's a critique I really don't like to give because the music is totally carrying me away and associating me with zoe's quest. While I think Leon Willett did a superb job, (I even interviewed him back when I had my first blog, (god rests my old database), it was somehow a little. I believe it's somehow more fitting than the music in dreamfall. And if you say there are glitches, the studio would very much like to hear what glitches precisely so they can pinpoint the origin and maybe fix it for next books. There's some movement jerkiness that could maybe improve if the studio could rig fine sophisticated Mocap madness onto it,īut it's not as bad. I believe that zoe moves quite fluidly and very gracious. In the end its all about how you want the experience the game, I personally wait for these games to be fully released, game of thrones, borderlands are the same thing.Animations are what they are from a studio that has no access to superb motion capture gymnasium and expensive equipment.

The thing is you can play however you want but these games I rather have a full game then chapter by chapter. I had some sort of discussion with someone a while back, he hit the nail on the spot, there are adventages and disadventages about playing it in chapter by chapter, but still I played the first episode and did not touch this game ever since because to me the longest yourney and dreamfall ate all about the full experience, Ive seen the forums and from what Ive seen a lot of people are like ep 2 was so good and 3 was a dissapointment, so Im waiting untill its fully released:P It's got pretty decent graphics even by today's standards, and I'd argue that it's more relevant to the story in Dreamfall Chapters as it focuses primarily on Zoë Castillo and, later on, Kian Alvane - the main characters in Dreamfall Chapters.įinally a guy with some sense on these forums, you sir are an endangered species among the human race(if that makes any sense) If you really feel like you can't put up with the graphics for the sake of story (for which I shan't blame you I feel the exact same way about Final Fantasy 7), move on to Dreamfall: The Longest Journey instead.

If you do want the complete story, however, I would strongly recommend playing it all the way from the beginning with The Longest Journey, which I personally feel is the best game in the series story-wise. No matter what it is you enjoy about the game, be it story, scenery, music, mechanics, or anything in between, you are of course welcome to play it and share your thoughts on it.
